Am I correct that the John William Haines (b.- d 1960) who is ascribed as the Ex Herb J W Haines, Gloucestershire collector, listed under http://herbariaunited.org/collector/11150/ is the John Haines, a solicitor, poet, botanist described in: http://books.google.co.uk/books?id=tqOKORiwCisC&pg=PA102&dq=John+William+Haines+cotswolds&hl=en&ei=gmgHTbb9FYrBhAePh_xN&sa=X&oi=book_result&ct=result&resnum=2&ved=0CCkQ6AEwAQ#v=onepage&q&f=false

Another book at page 85 at: http://books.google.co.uk/books?id=-Yfi4xbCv3oC&pg=PA65&dq=John+William+Haines+Gloucestershire+Poet&hl=en&ei=8mkHTYO5BsuHhQeompXtBw&sa=X&oi=book_result&ct=result&resnum=3&ved=0CC8Q6AEwAg#v=onepage&q=haines&f=false

seemingly referring to the same chap as also a Gloucestershire solicitor/botanist/poet but calls him John (& Jack) Wilton Haynes and gives him a birth date of 1875.

The National Archives webpage confirms him as John Wilton Haines at http://www.nationalarchives.gov.uk/nra/searches/subjectView.asp?ID=P51859&tabType=ARCHIVE and lists more about him but mostly poetry related in the Gloucestershire County Archive.

If so suggest the H@H collector entry for J W/John William Haines entry is amended to John Wilton Haines 1875-1960.

John Wilton Haines (1875-1960)

Sorry, while deleting a spam post I also accidentally removed Chris's reply, which used to be as follows:
