N.B. reporting of the edit history is currently fairly unclear and misleading. Most edits made to specimens appear as a pair of 'add' and 'delete' entries, which may not be together in the list. There are also often 'minor' edits, which are made automatically (rather than due to user activity), for example to merge synonym names.

I query the Ex Herb Jean Irene Byatt for this sheet. More likely to be referring to the I.J.B(ennett?)on sheet .John Hewitt (SLBI). P.S. Likely to be J.J. Bennett

Agree with John.
J J Bennett was one of the contributors to the herbarium at SLBI; it is likely that I J B is simply a 'curatorial' typo and should read J J B - for Bennett.

I agree about it not being Byatt.

There are two other I J B SLBI sheets, both also ex Hutchinson and Croydon NHSS. I wonder if the handwritten I J B is not a mistake - you probably are right that it is Bennett, but possibly it may be worth waiting in case more sheets turn up.

'Sister' sheet http://herbariaunited.org/specimen/315775/ shows more certainly as J J Bennett, and the error has been similarly corrected on some other sheets; the collector is also given there, as Mr Curtis. Although the name is familiar to me, and is presumably John Wright Curtis, I can't say - 'Most of the lectures were given by John Wright Curtis, William's younger brother, who had just gained his doctor's degree from Edinburgh University. They were both keen naturalists, and William's special interest in geology was complemented by John's interest in botany and ornithology' - http://www3.hants.gov.uk/curtis-museum/alton-history/curtis-museum-story.htm - if this is correct, there are 19 Curtis sheets that should be re-edited. The handwriting on the 'sister' sheet may bear comparison with http://herbariaunited.org/specimen/274621/?image which is one of 8 'John Wright Curtis' sheets
