N.B. reporting of the edit history is currently fairly unclear and misleading. Most edits made to specimens appear as a pair of 'add' and 'delete' entries, which may not be together in the list. There are also often 'minor' edits, which are made automatically (rather than due to user activity), for example to merge synonym names.

Collector is sure to be Beeby, but can equally be left blank. I definitely agree Reigate, H doubtless = Hill, I haven't seen the S on other Beeby sheets, it could equally be Surrey, South, or something else.

Beeby has three other specimens on 31/8/1879 from Reigate, one similarly giving the site as 'Cornfield S Reigate H'. If the S is south I would suggest the H is Heath, south of which there is farmland. South of the Hill is Reigate town!
