N.B. reporting of the edit history is currently fairly unclear and misleading. Most edits made to specimens appear as a pair of 'add' and 'delete' entries, which may not be together in the list. There are also often 'minor' edits, which are made automatically (rather than due to user activity), for example to merge synonym names.

Hillsborough could be either Ilfracombe, N. Devon or Boscastle, E. Cornwall.

The handwriting looks similar to that on other labels which have 'Hb Dr Edw Palmer' added, e.g. 360478. Dr Edward Palmer 1817-1897.

Last digit of year looks truncated and might be 3 or 5.

Palmer seems not to have collected along the North Devon coast or as early as 1833 but the date could well be 1835.

However the formation of the digit "8" is quite different in the two hands which, though similar, are not, I think, identical.
