N.B. reporting of the edit history is currently fairly unclear and misleading. Most edits made to specimens appear as a pair of 'add' and 'delete' entries, which may not be together in the list. There are also often 'minor' edits, which are made automatically (rather than due to user activity), for example to merge synonym names.

Anyone with detailed knowledge of eastern Calabria please?! Harvard University Herbarium has a 'Huter, Rupert, Porta, Pietro & Rigo, Gregorio', who collected in Italy amongst other places. I have put collector as 'R Huter' so as not to confuse with the 'B Huter' already in the database.

Thanks! I now find that there was a trio of botanists collecting in Italy and elsewhere: Rupert Huter (1834-1919), Pietro Porta (1832-1923), Giorgio Rigo (1841-1922). The first two were priests, the last a pharmacist. They lived in a part of what is now northern Italy, but originally part of the Austrian-Hungarian Empire, which to this day is bilingual. A further complication is that many of their labels are in Latin.
