The history of Butt's herbarium is as follows: 100 specimens were contributed by herb T W Trump; Butt was a prime mover of what became 'Flora of Gloucestershire' and was also H J Riddelsdell's father-in law. HJR curated Butt's herbarium and was an editor/author of Fl. Glos.

I haven't got as far as recognising handwriting but the foregoing is useful knowledge.
