Yes, Karl-Heinz Rechinger now appears to have determined 13 Salix hybrids.

Wikipedia says that Thomas Kirk lived and worked in Coventry 1828-1863 so I think the Quinton Pool here is likely to be that still at OS SP337773 in southern suburbs but in open parkland on the OS First Edition.
