N.B. reporting of the edit history is currently fairly unclear and misleading. Most edits made to specimens appear as a pair of 'add' and 'delete' entries, which may not be together in the list. There are also often 'minor' edits, which are made automatically (rather than due to user activity), for example to merge synonym names.

Can't make out where from, if that's what it details below the date. Also date looks more like "Mon(th) May (18)80" which would make JWH very young as seemingly born in 1875, hence gone for May (19)30. ( I've added a J W Haines topic on the Collectors Message Board suggesting the Ex Herb J W Haines haines is John WILTON Haines 1875-1960.) Any clearer reading of date and or loc?

Haines often put the weekday and I read it as Monday May 30, but strange he ommitted the year - perhaps knowing the weekday it can be calculated! I gave up on the place, it looks almost but not quite like Newent.

If Mon(day) not Mon(th) ended up with a possibility every 7 years or so guess best left blank, likewise for loc. Amended, thanks.

I am sure it is Newent - there are 14 other specimens from there on the database. The sheets we have so far are all from the period 1910 t0 1913 which suggests he collected this specimen on a Monday in 1911!
