N.B. reporting of the edit history is currently fairly unclear and misleading. Most edits made to specimens appear as a pair of 'add' and 'delete' entries, which may not be together in the list. There are also often 'minor' edits, which are made automatically (rather than due to user activity), for example to merge synonym names.

Can't make out the initials if that is what they are for the collector of specimens 3&4 or where on cape Finisterre 1 and 2 were collected assuming it is the Spannish Finisterre. Any ideas.

variety estuaria. I definitely read it as Quimperle, which is in a different part of Brittany from Finistere, suggesting he saw it at both places.

The journal cutting on http://herbariaunited.org/specimen/215243/ interestingly refers to 'M Lloyd of Nantes' (Brittany) - M Lloyd or Monsieur Lloyd ?

Thanks much better sense than my guess! Amended and copied your link, re M Lloyd, to the collectors board.

For Lloyd of Nantes see BSBI News No 124, p 37, September 2013: 'James Lloyd 1810-1897' - no hint of why the 'M'.
