N.B. reporting of the edit history is currently fairly unclear and misleading. Most edits made to specimens appear as a pair of 'add' and 'delete' entries, which may not be together in the list. There are also often 'minor' edits, which are made automatically (rather than due to user activity), for example to merge synonym names.

Mysterious initials CS again - from handwriting on this label, it is evidently 'CS' not 'W'

Despite initial doubts I'm fairly sure that contrary to appearances it's a letter 'w', representing Joseph Woods.

The date is formatted according to http://herbariaunited.org/forum/viewtopic.php?t=6034

Could the letters "C S" possibly stand for Charterhouse School? (and it is S, not W - compare it with the S in Slinfold).
