N.B. reporting of the edit history is currently fairly unclear and misleading. Most edits made to specimens appear as a pair of 'add' and 'delete' entries, which may not be together in the list. There are also often 'minor' edits, which are made automatically (rather than due to user activity), for example to merge synonym names.

On comparing with http://herbariaunited.org/specimen/263570/ I see this label appears to read J W Bagnall (not Rev or Mr) - but what is the connection with J E Bagnall? Warks most likely; Bagnall's usual area

I think it's just the strange way Painter wrote 'Mr'

e.g. http://herbariaunited.org/specimen/230052/?image as an example of 'Mr W I Hannan'

Reference to Bagnall's 'Flora of Warwickshire' locates Coleshill close to the river Blythe at SP2089.

Not sure I'm too keen on being the 'ultimate arbiter' Shocked Confused Painter's handwriting has plenty of potential to spread confusion by itself without my ultimate arbitration thrown in to the mix!

hopefully we can reach a consensus mostly.
