I agree that it probably is J E Winterbottom, though your chain of reasoning seems slightly convoluted Smile

which is a label written by C E Salmon

I've reverted your edit to the date, because this is one of the few cases where a date range is more correct than a series of individual dates, (i.e. this was collected at some point between 1838 and 1842, rather than necessarily representing two collections in 1838 and 1842)
