N.B. reporting of the edit history is currently fairly unclear and misleading. Most edits made to specimens appear as a pair of 'add' and 'delete' entries, which may not be together in the list. There are also often 'minor' edits, which are made automatically (rather than due to user activity), for example to merge synonym names.

User comments about this sheet

xmhcman wrote
13 speciemns on this sheet.

1-5: Label appears to be written in pencil, perhaps a modern transcription
From Odda, Norway, collected by 'Walter Barratt': could this be a misidentification
of William Bowles Barrett?

6 & 7:
I read Zettersfeld as a place in Austria. What is 20/6? Above
this is what might be a German plant name but not one I can trace.

8-10:
I take the herbarium as William Gardiner but was he the collector too?
The location I have put as Forfar but the further detail possibly 'Head of Canefs'
I cannot locate.

11-13:
I have taken 'A. Somerville B Sc.' to be Mrs Alice Henrietta Sommerville.
Considering the VC number given, 96, I have taken Glen Eunach as Glen Eanaich, and
'base of Brairiach' to be Braeriach.

A Somervile is Alexander rather than Alice.

(Alice Sommerville was born in the 20th century)

(6) & (7) Australia ? !!!

I read label as ''Christiania [now Oslo, Norway], Grassenaasen''.

The Zetter word is surely an ex herb name?

I think you are right. A slip of the mouse! I have also found Johan Wilhelm Zetterstedt (1785-1874), a Swedish naturalist.
