Image:Verbascum nigrum x pulverulentum = V. x mixtum herbarium specimen from Hellesdon by Norwich, VC27 East Norfolk in 1885 by Rev. Edward Francis Linton.
notes:Vebascum nigro-pulverulentum. The specimens I send were gathered from two plants, growing within 100 yards of one another, on a chalk hill-side, Hellesden, Norfolk., E., July 20th 1885. Both plants were a good deal branched, and had wolly-pubescent leaves, but the hairs on the filaments were purple, as in V. nigrum. The station is not a new one for this hybrid. E.F. LINTON.
