Herbarium specimen: Carex digitata

Taxon:Cyperaceae: Carex digitata L. ("Fingered Sedge")
named by pilaira 4/12/2006

this specimen was presented as Carex pallescens - which it most definitely is not; it resembles a stunted form of Carex digitata (hence the tentative ID), but this would represent an extension of its known range, plus the image quality is not of a sufficient resolution to make a determination of such a critical genus - the specimen needs to be examined by a Carex specialist
