fruits/flowers:mature flowers
notes:"Nineteen years have elapsed since this was first discovered and distributed. This is a sufficiently long interval to warrant a further distribution of this beautiful species, which members will be pleased to see. It is gratifying to know that it still flourishes so plentifully in Esthwaite Water and we are greatly indebted to Dr Sledge for its presentation in so perfect form" - PEARSALL. " My specimen from Esthwaite Water dated 4/8/1920 is simply named H.verticillata Casp., and so far I have been unable to detect the difference from var. pomeranica. Both have 2-5 (average 4) subulate, very acute, faintly lined, pale green sub-translucent leaves and branching stems" - FRASER
