Biography

1848-1928. Clergyman and botanist, St. Paul's, Preston; Sprowston, Norfolk 1878-88; Edmondsham, Dorset 1901-20. Herbarium presented to the British Museum (Natural History). Often identified by only initials 'EFL.'. Collected with Rev. William Richardson Linton, his brother. Edward was author of "Flora of Bournemouth including the Isle of Purbeck : Being An Account of the Flowering Plants, Ferns of the Country within a twelve mile radius of the centre of Bournemouth", privately printed 1900.
