Eyre Champion de Crespigny

Born Vevey Switzerland, 5 May 1821
Educated at St. Paul's School, London, and at Heidelberg, surgeon.
1845 Indian appointment, arrived in Bombay in September.
1859 became Acting Conservator of Forests & Superintendent, Government Botanical Gardens, Dapsorie, near Poonah.
1862 compelled by failing health to return to England.
1877 New London Flora published.
Died Beckenham 15 February 1895
