Biography

Mrs Gertrude Foggitt née Bacon (1874-1949; married 6/2/1929), co-discoverer of Carex microglochin in Scotland in 1923, was the wife of Thomas Jackson Foggitt (1858-1934). His grandfather was Thomas J. Foggitt (1810-1895), and his father William Foggitt (1835-1917).
These were the Foggitts of Thirsk.
