Biography

Born 28 June 1914 in Birmingham, the son of George Percival Mills.
Educated Winchester, New College/Christ Church Oxford, and Birmingham Medical School.
Graduated in medicine in 1939, and was briefly a GP.
Lecturered at Oxford 1941-1946, then at Cambridge 1946-1950.
Manchester University from 1950, becoming Brackenbury professor of physiology.
World authority on Circadian Rhythms.
Interests were climbing and field botany.
Died in a climbing accident 3 Decmeber 1977.

Obituary in the British Medical Journal 17 December 1977.

His wife was June R J Mills.
