Georges Desplantes (-1961)
Georges Desplantes
A chemist who worked on chlorine gas. He had a botnaic garden in Flavigny sur Ozerain, Côte-d'Or, Bourgogne, France, in the 19th century and mentioned in 1908 in a booklet: "FLAVIGNY-SUR-OZERAIN" (published Floret Jacquot, Dijon).
In a well publicised event of April 1954, Madame Desplantes, while returning from a botanical excursion with her husband, claimed to have seen a flying-saucer.
