Henry Tuke Mennell was a long-standing member of Club, and president 1885-1886.
William Frederick Miller
Henry Franklin Parsons was elected member 18 May 1881, and President (1912).

In 1878 William Frederick Miller, William Hadden Beeby, Arthur Bennett, and Thomas Bruges Flower, the Botanical Sub-committee of the Club, reported on the flora of the Croydon district defined as follows:
"The northern boundary of the district selected is the river Thames, from the mouth of the river Darenth, near Dartford, in Kent, to the mouth of the river Mole, near East Moulsey (Molesey), in Surrey. The eastern boundary is the river Darenth, and the western is the river Mole. The southern boundary is the northern edge of the Gault."
