N.B. reporting of the edit history is currently fairly unclear and misleading. Most edits made to specimens appear as a pair of 'add' and 'delete' entries, which may not be together in the list. There are also often 'minor' edits, which are made automatically (rather than due to user activity), for example to merge synonym names.

is this a case where one would use the collection date - "to" box?

Thanks for asking about this.

Using the date range 'to' box would be a valid way to record this, but for sheets such as this with two distinct collection dates it may be better to add an extra date entry by clicking the green cross to the right of the date field. Also clicking the ellipsis (...) button near the date field adds an extra notes field which can be used to qualify the date entries (i.e. the 5th August collection was of fruit).

There are some sheets where only a collection date range is given, rather than multiple distinct dates.

regards,

Tom
