N.B. reporting of the edit history is currently fairly unclear and misleading. Most edits made to specimens appear as a pair of 'add' and 'delete' entries, which may not be together in the list. There are also often 'minor' edits, which are made automatically (rather than due to user activity), for example to merge synonym names.

There are 'Piggot' names in various counties, I got no ready clues from a quick E J Salisbury search. Date 22/3/1901? seems to have been altered from 1902 to 1901; but decade seems altered illegibly too; he would have been 15 in 1901.

Based on his other specimens I suspect it is from Piggot's Hill Hertfordshire

As Edward James Salisbury was born in Harpenden and was a teenager at the time of this collection, surely this is the Piggotshill at OS TL152144, some 2km east of the town centre, which appears on the modern OS 25000 map as a wood on a golf course, but on the First Series looks like an isolated farm.

I'm happy to go with Roger Horton, I now realise EJS collected numerous specimens from the area east of Harpenden Common around this time, eg from Grove Road, and Mud Lane
