N.B. reporting of the edit history is currently fairly unclear and misleading. Most edits made to specimens appear as a pair of 'add' and 'delete' entries, which may not be together in the list. There are also often 'minor' edits, which are made automatically (rather than due to user activity), for example to merge synonym names.

Given Ley's other collections at various times, I suspect Ashby Parva, rather than Ashby de la Zouch, though he normally writes as 'Ashby Parva' specifically

There are 20 specimens collected by Rev A Ley during eight separate visits to Ashby Parva between 1874 and 1892; one of them is ascribed to "Annie Ley".

The Parish Church, St Peter's, has a memorial window to John Winfred Ley who died August 1883 (http://ukga.org/churches/Leicestershire/625.html).

Rev Augustin Ley's brother, Rev William Clement Ley, was Rector of Ashby Parva from 1874 - 1892.

Annie was Clement's daughter.

I surmise John was a deceased child of Clement.
