N.B. reporting of the edit history is currently fairly unclear and misleading. Most edits made to specimens appear as a pair of 'add' and 'delete' entries, which may not be together in the list. There are also often 'minor' edits, which are made automatically (rather than due to user activity), for example to merge synonym names.

'[General] William Munro (1818-1880) was an English plant collector, botanist, agrostologist, and officer' - Wikipedia - 'Munro became a Fellow of the Linnean Society of London in 1840. He conducted collecting expeditions to India (1834-1838), Kashmir (1847), and Barbados (1870-1875). Some gleanings which may or may not be relevant:

Francesco Franceschi (1843–1924), known in Italy under his birth name of Emanuele Orazio Fenzi, was an Italian horticulturist who is credited with introducing such species as bamboo and eucalyptus into Italy. He was from a banking family who owned Villa Fenzi at Scandicci in Tuscany.

The church of Sant'Andrea in Mosciano is located in the municipality of Scandicci.
