For interest:



Stirrup, VC57 Derbyshire, and Marple VC58 Cheshire, are now in Greater Manchester.

Stirrup Wood is quoted as hectad SJ99 in The Flora of Derbyshire page for Ranunculus arvensis, white circle top left. Only a small part of this hectad is within VC57. Stirrup is mapped by the OS at SJ9892 but not the wood as far as I can see.

Thanks for that! amazing what one can find out. And although it could be argued that perhaps most h@h sheets are already published in literature, I don't think h@h could be beaten for the access to lots of cross-referenced info as can be found by simple h@h searches.
