If as seems possible the collector is the same AG as on http://herbariaunited.org/specimen/349557/?image then the surname might be Gregory possibly?

A family history website says:

Arthur Gregory (11/5/1832-1911) married Eliza Standerwich Barnes.
Children:
Gertrude Mabel Gregory 1868-
Arthur Edward Barnes Gregory 1870-
Reginald Philip Gregory 1880-

Both Gertrude and Reginald have h@h specimens. The 'AG' on sheet 349557 (1905) could be father or son Arthur Edward.

A more likely collector with these initials in 1942 would be Antony Gepp who has specimens from Duke's Meadows around this date.
