I seem to recall Ley used the names Gorsley and Gorstley interchangeably? Here the note 'on the county boundary' seems to indicate Gorsley between Ross & Newent, SO6726. But is that too far south to be in District 3, the Woolhope district?

Perhaps you were thinking of THIS MESSAGE.

OS 1st edition shows Gorstley Common now much built over as Gorsley Common at SO6725 in Herefordshire, but with the village of Gorsley over the border in West Gloucestershire.
