N.B. reporting of the edit history is currently fairly unclear and misleading. Most edits made to specimens appear as a pair of 'add' and 'delete' entries, which may not be together in the list. There are also often 'minor' edits, which are made automatically (rather than due to user activity), for example to merge synonym names.

Have I got the right location? I think the collector may have mispelled the name - Welsh place names are not my strong point!

It is Llanbwchllyn according to the OS
OS Grid reference SO1146
, but

"From the fact that Radnor is wholly an upland
county one would expect to find that, like Carnarvon
and Merioneth, it has a considerable number of natural
lakes. But it is not so. Llynbychllyn, its largest sheet
of water,
cannot be compared to the Merionethshire
Bala or even the Breconshire Safaddan in point of size.
In character also it is more like a lowland mere than a
mountain tarn, its shores being reedy and marshy."

I think Ley wasn't sure either and had tried to correct it Smile
