Site Portsmouth may be debatable, as so far from West's usual area; county not specified; just one Atriplex specimen from same month is labelled the same way. All other West specimens from South Hampshire are made some 13 -15 years earlier in 1896 & 98; though afther & son collected there in Jun 1892 (W West jnr aged 17 at the time).

Thanks; near Cornholme, on A646 Todmorden to Burnley. Being right on the border, this may be the 'Portsmouth S Lancashire of the H@H gazetteer. The other species collected by West is Atriplex portulacoides which seems to be strictly coastal!
