N.B. reporting of the edit history is currently fairly unclear and misleading. Most edits made to specimens appear as a pair of 'add' and 'delete' entries, which may not be together in the list. There are also often 'minor' edits, which are made automatically (rather than due to user activity), for example to merge synonym names.

Stell; it appears to be the river that flows near the quarry - it is clearer on Streetmap
or see minimap on http://www.geograph.org.uk/photo/603809 .

"River Stell" is at best pleonastic, at worst just wrong. In Cleveland a 'stell' is a fresh- or salt-water ditch (seemingly equivalent to rhines or reens elsewhere). Draining Langbaurgh is Main Stell (which Mudd calls Lanbraugh Stell); nearby is Nunthorpe Stell which joins Main Stell before that enters Sandswath Beck.

I was identifying the word, and said it appeared to be a river as it was blue on the map. I was not offering a dictionary definition of some topographical feature.
