It is not the writing of Haines per se. The sheets have been attributed to him, but his actual hand writing is like that on the label below.

At some stage, someone attributed a batch of the Aber sheets to Haines - by writing in pencil "H H Haines" to the side of the this 'printed' script. It is quite possible that they formed part of a collection of sheets accumulated by the Haines / Tweed families who were avid collectors of plants, spiders etc over the years and generations. The sheets are best described (cautiously) as ex herb H Haines.
