There are 5 other sheets documented from Clifton in Painter's hand for July of that year - doesn't it seem reasonable to suppose that he collected them all? Smile

Diolch yn fawr! On looking closer, I realise the 'concealed' handwriting may well be Painter's own. I have probably misjudged Painter; I have seen many of his labels without a name, and must have drawn the wrong conclusion.
