Label says Poole Keynes which is ST999953 (forget all about Kemble). If you input that GR into the OS grid reference to vice-county conversion programme (follow the link from 'Maps & gazeteers') you get http://herbariaunited.org/gridrefVC/?gridref=ST999953&lat=&long=&lrsheet=&lreast=&lrnorth=&do=search&search=look-up+county+or+grid-reference#sf
which says locality is in vc 7; i.e. within the borders of Wiltshire as it was at the date when H C Watson created his system of vice-Counties.

Administrative boundaries change, but the Watsonian boundaries are writ like "the laws of the Medes and Persians which altereth not.”- Daniel vi. 8.

So where the label says "vc 34" it is wrong. However, the editors of 'Flora of Gloucestershire' wished (for purposes of practical convenience only) to include Poole Keynes in the area covered by their book.

Note that the specimen is ex herb Butt.
