C B G = ? Charles Baylis(s) Green, 1851 - 1918.
Born Belbroughton, Worcs. His father was a farmer / gardener. In 1861, the family was living in Worth, Sussex. Charles' wife was called Emma.
A railway employee, variously described as railway clark / accountant. In 1881/91 & 1901 living in Acton. He was particularly interested in the flora of Middlesex and accumulated a large herbarium, which passed to SLBI.
He died in 1918 in Swanage, Dorset.
