N.B. reporting of the edit history is currently fairly unclear and misleading. Most edits made to specimens appear as a pair of 'add' and 'delete' entries, which may not be together in the list. There are also often 'minor' edits, which are made automatically (rather than due to user activity), for example to merge synonym names.

Not convinced by either the date or Bennett's role (comm/conf?)

Could the collector here be 'Mr J Clarke' rather than 'W J Clarke'? A Joshua Clarke of Saffron Walden won a Gold Medal in the RHS British Botanical Competition of 1864 for the discovery of a species new to Britain, namely 'Erucastrum inodorum' = Erucastrum pollichii (now Erucastrum gallicum) in a new railway cutting at Saffron Walden. This looks like a return visit.

Thanks, Roger - have modified it but not "checked" it so as to leave it open for
review.

See you in Leicester?
