so did I initially. Something which can help is that the place-name box has limited support for wild-card searching, i.e. if you enter

the system will suggest names ending in 'ing'. '*' substitutes for zero or more missing characters or spaces - which is helpful if only some letters, possibly in the middle of the word, are legible.
