N.B. reporting of the edit history is currently fairly unclear and misleading. Most edits made to specimens appear as a pair of 'add' and 'delete' entries, which may not be together in the list. There are also often 'minor' edits, which are made automatically (rather than due to user activity), for example to merge synonym names.

Comments please ? As we all know there are a lot of sheets like this with no collector given, this one has two possibly clues, 1. a comment " A quantity dormant" 'something' F.N.
2. On the label [x grantii A.Benn.] now I can find no F.N. as a collector, or A.Benn as an author, could one of these be the collector?

'A. Benn.' is Arthur Bennett, a contributor to the flora of Caithness.

The handwritten note states "Aquatilis dominant Det E N" and was written by Ernest Nelmes, a botanist at Kew, who published several papers on Carex.

Indeed not. See http://herbariaunited.org/forum/viewtopic.php?t=6291

I would welcome some feedback particularly any biographical information for Nelmes. There was also a Miss E M Nelmes, active in the Reading area before her retirement to Wales - a sister, daughter?

I will keep an eye on any sheets that might contain a link to Nelmes.
