Locality:Great Britain, VC10 Isle of Wight, Saint Helen's Spit, SZ6389, At the time, probably the landward end of the spit rather than SZ6388. St Helen's Spit was prob wetter then, judging by the sp lists of Bromfield (1856), More (various) and Stratton (1913-5).

A critical examination of specimens from this area would be interesting. Recent (2002-2011) sampling and recording suggests possible hybridisation with allied spp with wide var's found in petal size, Fr hairiness and aerial Lf geometry.
