N.B. reporting of the edit history is currently fairly unclear and misleading. Most edits made to specimens appear as a pair of 'add' and 'delete' entries, which may not be together in the list. There are also often 'minor' edits, which are made automatically (rather than due to user activity), for example to merge synonym names.

This sheet's provenance is confused, and also has been entered on H@H as C spicata, which contradicts both David's determination and the original label. The site 'Brandon Warren' is surely VC 26 W Suffolk; though the label is characteristic of the Flora of Warwickshire series of c 1970; and has been entered as such on H@H; I don't know if the sqiggle resembling ?'J Lom' has anything to do with a collector. In CTW 2nd ed, C muricata is given the alternative name C piraei, and C spicata is given the alternative name C muricata auct angl p p !

1. Peter M Benoit was born in 1931 and is still very much with us!
2. Stace 3 has C muricata subsp pairae = C muricata subsp lamprocarpa, which is the common subspecies, of course, so probably this {fide David} unless Robin Walls has decided it is C. spicata though the edit history doesn't say so.

spicata was how I found the sheet had been entered originally; muricata is what I added.
