N.B. reporting of the edit history is currently fairly unclear and misleading. Most edits made to specimens appear as a pair of 'add' and 'delete' entries, which may not be together in the list. There are also often 'minor' edits, which are made automatically (rather than due to user activity), for example to merge synonym names.

A O Hume died 31/7/1912, but this specimen was collected by W H Griffin after that date, as were several others in the herbarium. Such specimens all seem to bear the 'Herb.-A. O. Hume.' printed label with Order/Genus/Species filled in in pencil, but Place/Collected by/Date in a different hand and in ink. Is this latter the work of WHG, and did it also occur during the life of AOH?

There are currently ~ 12 specimens collected by Griffin after Hume's death, many have Hume herbarium labels.

Griffin worked at the SLBI as a curator of Hume's collection. I suspect that most or all the Hume labels may be written by Griffin and that the posthumous collections continued to use the old labels for a while, but by mid-1913 new 'SLBI' labels are starting to be used instead.
