This handwriting looks 'Victorian' and I read this date as June 8th/95 so 8/6/1895. Several collectors (e.g. Thomas Bruges Flower, Miss Martha Maria Atwood, and Mr Thomas Clark) were in N Somerset in 1895 and have similar handwriting. Sorry, not much help!
