'Sent from a shrubbery at Yetholm, Roxburgh, June 26th, 1879, by Mr. A. BROTHERSTON; also from a garden tree at Alstonfield, Staffordshire, by Rev. W.H. PURCHAS. Both plants are accepted by Dr. Boswell as what he intends by the above name.' [Botanical Exchange Club report attached to EM323389].
