notes:Dr. White's Flora of Perthshire has Rosa tomentosa (now thought
not to be present in the area) but does not have the closely
related Rosa sherardii (now known to be common in the area).
Hybrids labelled as R. involuta are probably R. x involuta (R.
pimpinellifolia x R. sherardii) but need determination.
