ocrnotes:	var. tenuifolia Syme (1873) = var. capillata, Hack. (f Mon. Feat.' 1882). Hedge Court, Surrey, 1887, Professor Hackel confirms the name as well as the above synonym. The more recent varietal name has been adopted in Lon. Cat., Ed. VIII, but according to Hacket's own showing (1. c, p. 85) both of these names must give way to F. ovina, var.pahidosa, Gaud., 'Fl. Helv. I.' (1828). W. H. Beeby.
