notes:Plentiful on a newly-made embankment at Preesall [Wheldon & Wilson, 1907.] Pugsley writes, of specimen at K: "the material is not very satisfactory, but this appears to be F. purpurea. The sepals and bracts are too long for F. boraei and the tips of the pedicels too dilated?." There is a specimen of this in herb. J.C. Melvill (HWB), sometimes erroneously credited to Melvill [TCGR].
