Image:Stratiotes aloides herbarium specimen from Salhouse Broad, VC27 East Norfolk in 1915 by Rev Douglas Montague Heath.
fruits/flowers:no flowers
notes:A curious form with flaccid leaves "leaves up to 18in high Hayward" "more or less succulent" F.Robinson calls this the "deep water form of Sparganium ramosum" but the whole plant is so different in habit that I cannot think it that. The leaves, though not so rigid as usual in S. aloides, all spring from the root in the same manner are serrated
note also the creeping ?
FR now admits it S.aloides
