notes:Many of the barren stems are reddish purple [and] root at the nodes.
The barren shoots are usual horizontal or somewhat ascending.
? Is this Agrostis alba N Y Sandwith. I think it maybe Nov 3rd 1921 H.S.T N W Pugsley agrees
