notes:Leaves [of suckers] oval, broadly unequal bark crinkly unequal at base, Crassly? doubly ? hairless but rather rough above : beneath with scattered hairs and veins and clustered ? . Twigs* and buds and slightly hairy, petioles very hairy.
Samara broadly obviate very obtuse seed car[apace] ? above middle notched at top, notch extending 1/3-1/2 to seed cavity, seeds ripening parianth 5 [-6?] clepory lobes ciliate. large tree? bark smooth and whitish ; limbs at first all ?; finally drooping.
Suckers numerous
Leaves always less as prone? then in glabre Huds.
